2 days behind schedule, but here is the first attempt at critiquing designs for this blog. I am an expert after all… at least in the world within this blog.
On the docket today is..
Corporate Identity design by Richard The (I wish my last name was The.. The, Heli)
The visual identity for MIT Media Lab was inspired by the community it comprises (as quoted on Mr. The’s blog)
I believe the logo shows an effective use of simple shapes, colours and minimal design to deliver the image of the company it represents; then altering the logo for each individual to use on their business card.
The colour selection, although restricted to 3 basic hues, is used in a visually appealing manner to create a unified symbol. There is direction and depth created by the shapes in each altered composition.
Over all I enjoyed looking at this design.
